DONNA & MARK RUBIN:

Signature Auction owners Donna and Mark Rubin

Since 1992, co-owners of American Legends, a sports memorabilia store in Scarsdale, New York. The Rubins have organized almost one hundred professional athlete appearances for American Legends, many of which are held to raise money for charity. Over the years, they have hosted six such fundraisers with the top-dollar amount raised at more than $29,000.

Since 1997, Donna and Mark have worked with charities on auctions at their fundraising events such as gala dinners and golf outings. Many of these auctions have helped to raise substantial revenue for the particular charity.

Mark has almost 25 years experience in the sports collectibles industry and has attended signings with legends such as Muhammad Ali, Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams. Besides a 14-year history in the collectibles industry, Donna has a public relations background where she organized many press-related events for agency clients.

In November 2001, the Rubins auctioned off "The Tallahassee Collection," a $100,000 collection of sports collectibles amassed by a private collector over a 37-year span.

The Rubins lend their personal time to such charitable organizations as the ALS Association, Greater New York Chapter and the Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Patterson, N.Y. They co-chaired the 2002 & 2004 Westchester Walks to d’Feet ALS and frequently do home-socialization work with puppies training to become guide dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
