Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation
Dinner, Chelsea Piers, New York
Signature Auctions was chosen to facilitate the silent auction
at the Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation Dinner at Chelsea Piers
in New York City. The foundation provides grants enabling children
of firefighters and other victims of the September 11 attacks and
other fires and disasters to afford higher education. It is in honor
of Michael Lynch, a courageous fire fighter who lost his life on
9-11-01. The spectacular gala at The Lighthouse at picturesque Chelsea
Piers featured several VIPs including former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
I want to thank you for all your work in making the
silent auction a success beyond what we imagined. We are grateful
to you and your team for your expertise and efficiency in handling
the auction as well as your high standard of professionalism and
your high quality product.
We are a young organization and worked feverishly in the
past to accomplish what Signature Auctions did for us with out
any effort or risk on our part. You helped us raise more money
than we expected and added an element of fun to the evening that
everyone enjoyed.
You really did save our lives this year. From the beginning
you were professional, courteous, efficient and helpful and you
remained that way throughout the planning and running of the auction
and through all follow up. We look forward to working with you
again.

Community Blood Services Foundation, 4th Annual Sports Night,
New Jersey
Signature
Auctions was contacted to set up and run the silent auction at Community
Blood Services’ 4th Annual Sports Night at Seasons in Washington
Township. The evening featured cocktails and a dinner honoring retired
New Jersey Devils defensemen Ken Daneyko.
After receiving a signed Letter of Agreement, Signature Auctions
went to work. We carefully selected top-quality items from all of
the major sports as well as artwork and added several premium hockey
items specifically for this audience.
Signature
Auctions arrived in the late afternoon to set up the auction. Almost
immediately as the guests arrived, the auction area was abuzz with
bidders. As the evening progressed, the bidding heated up and came
to a crescendo just prior to the end of the auction. Signature Auctions
was there every step of the way, to answer questions, cajole the
guests to bid and to help processing of the payments.
Thank you so much for contributing to the success of Monday
night’s 4th Annual Sports Night. With your help, we grossed
nearly $35,000 – a record for the Community Blood Services
Foundation. As always, it was a pleasure to work with both of
you. I look forward to having you work with us again for our golf
tournament.

Friends of Karen, Charity Golf Tournament, Sleepy Hollow, Westchester
County, NY
The Friends of Karen organization “works to ensure the well-being
of families coping with extraordinary financial and emotional demands
of their childrens’ terminal or life-threatening illnesses.”
Friends of Karen holds an annual golf outing and decided they wanted
Signature Auctions to run its silent auction.
After
learning the number of expected attendees as well as the demographics
of the crowd, Signature Auctions carefully selected the auction
items, a nice mix from all of the major sports as well as boxing,
golf and entertainment. Friends of Karen also had a few items they
asked us to incorporate into the auction and we were happy to do
so.
After the golfers came off the course, they had a chance to grab
a cocktail and survey the auction. Bids started pouring in as the
room began to fill up with the attendees.
Signature Auctions supervised the auction and answered all questions
that the guests had. We also gathered the winners’ payment
information and presented them with their auction items.
I want to thank you for organizing Friends of Karen’s
Sports Memorabilia Silent Auction. We could not have done all the
work without your professional help. You both are such a pleasure
to work with and you made it so easy for us to earn extra money
for the children we serve each and every day. We look forward to
working with you in the near future and wish you many more special
events to show off all the good work you do.

ALS Association’s Field of Dreams Gala™, North Carolina
Signature
Auctions was asked to travel to North Carolina to run the auction
at the ALS Association’s Field of Dreams Gala tm, a black-tie
affair to fight Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The executive director
had seen our company in action and wanted us on location to handle
its auction needs.
Months before the event, Signature Auctions began preparing for
the auction. Since the fundraiser was a gala dinner and attendance
was expected to be 400 – 500 people, we made sure we had an
ample and varied inventory of high-end items to appeal to this prestigious
audience. We knew our selection would create quite a stir and we
were proven correct. We also incorporated some donated items the
charity had received.
One
of the first attendees at the cocktail hour was one of the evening’s
honorees, Curt Schilling. The All-Star pitcher, who dedicates his
free time to the fight against ALS, placed a bid on two different
signed football helmets and was the winner of one of them.
Bidding was fierce during the auction. In fact, one of our unique
signed Pittsburgh Steelers items with a minimum bid of $295 sold
for $1,200. Furthermore, demand was so great for some items that
we wound up selling multiples to the second and third highest bidders.
These items were drop shipped to the under bidders when we returned
to New York.
All in all, we wound up selling 48 of the 50 items that we brought
for the event.
You guys did another great job. Thank you for doing
this for ALS. The framed pieces of Jimmy were great. Thank you for
doing one for me.

widow
Paramount Arts Center – Ashland, Kentucky
Signature Auctions was contacted by the Paramount Arts Center in
Kentucky ten days prior to their event. The organization needed
high-end sports items to supplement the auction items at their fundraising
dinner. We generally require one-month’s lead-time but the
organization was in a bind and we wanted to help. Since the event
was out-of-state and we had to ship the items, we needed to work
fast.
A flexible company, Signature Auctions figured with a little hustle,
we could have a Letter of Agreement signed, select the right mix
of items, package them up and ship them out within a day or two.
Since time was of the essence, we worked hard and were able to complete
this task within two days!
It was a worthwhile endeavor for both parties as almost all of
the 14 items we shipped sold at the event. Not only did their organization
add significant money to their bottom line, but our consignment
items also help enhance their auction.
Please call us at 1-888-4-BID-UPS (1-888-424-3877) or
contact us online at Signature Auctions
so we can discuss your auction needs for your next event.
